A first date descriptor depends on the time of year, of course. I think it's important to go to a place familiar to both. Then, the setting is neutral. Any place that allows for lingering and conversation, is a good choice, so time feels suspended (i.e. where both forget about looking at a watch). A picnic is a good idea, for that, in a beautiful park. An elegant dinner, with many courses served through the evening, is another thought. A venue that showcases piano music as a backdrop to an evening, with coffee/tea, is another. A restaurant that has hibachi cooking for interactive dining is nice. Enjoying a brunch and then a walk along a waterfront is conducive for conversation and relaxation, as well. Even going to a farm on a sunny day to pick produce together is an option! Simple, in life, is always more. |
