About Me
Point form notes that will one day be turned into coherent sentences:

Likes (in no particular order):
* All things hockey - I'm a Sens fan during the regular season, but revert to being a Leafs fan during the playoffs (you know, when they make it). I played in a league this past winter for the time in years, and WOW was I out of practice. I'm really looking forward to next season, though, but I'll have to settle for lunch-hour soccer during the summer!
* Music: Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin.. It's tough to pick favourites, because I have so much music! Lately, I've been into Amy Winehouse. I play guitar (poorly). I find the Rock Band game drums a lot of fun.
* Languages: French (not quite fluent, but would like to work on it), a bit of Spanish, and even less Japanese.
* Favourite movie: Gattaca. The Departed and the Incredibles were pretty good, too.
* Cats > Dogs. A friend and I have designed and are going to build a robotic ball thrower for his girlfriend's dog.
* Computer programming: I work in computer programming, and I like to work on my own projects in some of my spare time.
* Reading: I just finished the Harry Potter heptology and have been in a literary limbo of late.
* TV: Scrubs, House, Grey's Anatomy, (yet I continue to insist that I don't like doctor shows), BSG, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother. The Daily Planet on the Discovery Channel. I don't watch much TV, though.

That's it for the moment...

First Date
Find a common interest and try to work that into it. Maybe a museum. Coffee is apparently popular, but, honestly, a bit dull.
This may sound a bit odd, but I think trying to cook or bake something would make a good date: lots of time for conversation, you have to cooperate, and, when you're done, you have something to eat (hopefully)! It's not really a first date thing, though!

I look forward to you telling Michael I can't stay over at his place any more when I visit Ottawa . And by 'look forward to', I mean goddamit, where the hell am I going to crash? You better be cool... slumber party?
