About Me
Hi, I'm Chris, a professional man in my mid-40's looking for someone to get to know. I've only been in Birmingham for five years and want to get to know someone who can enjoy similar hobbies. I'm a North Carolina transplant looking to find someone who enjoys going out locally and will be a good friend and possibly a life partner. I graduated from Duke with a B.S. and my Ph.D. I won't bore you with the details of my job except to say I am a medical researcher at UAB.
I enjoy local bands and support the local arts. I prefer Jazz and some of the newer singer-songwriters. I like to take long weekends to New Orleans, Wilmington Beach, Rosemary Beach and Atlanta to get away. I try to travel internationally once a year, and Ireland is my favorite country and I hope to return there next summer.
First Date
Getting to know each other over a few lunches before we go on our first date. I like any type of food, but prefer international. Once we get to know each other and feel there is chemistry, I would like to take you to some of my favorite places like Workplay, Alys Stephens Center or a local play, with a dinner somewhere on Southside, Sol y Luna, Hot and Hot or Highlands.

| KellyG612 | Chris is a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I met him for dinner (he wanted to pick me up, but having never met him, I was apprehensive) at Surin. I expected him to be dry, but he is very social, confident and outgoing. We talked about many things and laughed a lot. He apologized for keeping his blackberry on the table, but said he was waiting for a call from his ex about their son who was sick. After the call came, he turned it off. He seems to have a good relationship with the ex, which is a good sign.
After dinner, we went to a concert and I had a wonderful time. After I got home, he called to make sure I made it home safely. He is a great guy. His mother should be proud.
