I'm a true Southern Bell. I was born and raised in Mississippi. Lived in South Carolina for 2 years and then moved to Georgia where I've been for over 8 years now. I have a lot of various interests and I love learning new things.

I am a litigation paralegal for law firm which specializes in criminal defense and domestic law. I absolutely love my job and can sometimes be a workaholic. I love to laugh and I usually always have a smile on my face. What can I say? I'm a generally happy person. I try to enjoy life as much as possible. :)

I love kids. I play "aunt" to all my friends' children & I wouldn't have it any other way. I really look forward to being a mother one day - not any time really soon, but some day. I love animals. I have a bunny rabbit named, Bo, and a miniture dashchund named, Vienna, whom I love dearly. Vi is very protective of me so you'll have to get past her to get to me. Lol. Her stamp of approval goes a long way in my book.

I am a huge fan of college football, especially the SEC (Go Mississippi State!) I love Atlanta Braves baseball (Go Brian McCann!) I am also a NASCAR fan (Go Tony Stewart!) I currently live about halfway between the tracks at Talladega and Atlanta, so I go there whenever I can.

I am a very social person so I love to host parties and dinners, go tailgating, go to clubs/bars/restaurants or just hang out at home with friends and family. However, I do have my moments when I just want a quiet night at home cuddled up on the couch watching a movie.

I am a very caring person who would do anything for family and friends. I'm very family oriented. Family is extemely important to me. I am a very affectionate and attentive person, and I like to keep my man happy! :)

I occasionally hunt and fish. I like to play poker and shoot pool although I'm not extremely good at any of those things. Lol. I'd usually rather watch the game with the guys than go shopping with the girls. I'm very laid back, but yet very passionate about life and love and all things in between.

I love most types of movies and music but some of my favs are comedies and horror movies and rock and pop. I absolutely love hearing live music whether it be at a concert or a bar. I like a little bit of every thing when it comes to music. Just depends on my mood. For the most part, I can appreciate pretty much any type of movie or music. But I do have to say that I have always had a huge crush on Elvis. He was my first love! :)

I love to travel although I haven't been to that many exciting places yet, but I will eventually. I want to see as much of this world as possible. Traveling is definitely a learning experience for me as well as a source of entertainment. I love to learn new things no matter what it is or where I am. I also love history so I really enjoy going to museums & taking historical tours.

Interesting facts about me...Most people are very surprised to learn that I have five tattoos. I have to keep them covered for work so they're all in very discreet places, but I love tattoos. I think they can tell you alot about a person. If you look closely you will see that I have two different colored eyes. My 10th grade biology teacher called me a genetic mutant in front of the whole class but I'm not bitter. Lol. I like my eyes.

THINGS I WANTED TO ADD:

Just to let you know, I'm sometimes rather slow at responding to messages. I stay very busy with my job, so if you email me and I don't immediately respond, please don't hold it against me.

Also, I kind of get tired of answering the same questions over and over, so I'm going to attempt to answer the two most common ones right off the bat. Here goes...

What am I looking for?: I haven't been single too long so I'm really just looking for someone who can be my friend first. If it develops into more in the future then that's wonderful, but if it doesn't, then I'm ok with that too. I'm not looking for anything serious at the moment but I'm also not looking for a random hook up either. I kind of want something in the middle right now. I love to be around people who have an optimistic outlook on life, a good sense of humor, career goals, are confident but not arrogant, cooks well, a nice smile and pretty eyes are a big plus too. :)

You're "separated" and not "divorced"?: That's correct. My ex and I signed our separation paperwork awhile ago but we decided not to finalize the divorce until the end of the year so I could remain on his health insurance and so we could pay off some marital debt. We are legally separated. We live separately. I have an apartment. He has our old house. We're still friends but that's it. Staying technically married until the end of the year was the best decision for us financially. Right now it's just a paperwork issue. Some guys aren't comfortable with my current situation and I respect that completely. I'm not asking anyone else to accept my situation. I'm the only one that has to accept it and live with it. Everyone else can take it or leave it. In the end I'm the only one that knows what's right for me.

Also, I really thought of myself as an optimist when it comes to relationships but since I've been on here I've started to become a pessimist. Maybe someone out there will change my mind.

First dates are really a time to get to know someone. I always like the old stand by of a nice dinner. It gives you time to talk about your common interests and learn more about the person as a potential friend or significant other.

I really like a man who is intelliegnt enough to carry on a good conversation and who has a good sense of humor. I like someone who can make me laugh and keep me laughing.

After dinner, I'd like to go for a walk, have a drink or listen to some live music.
