I could say alot of cool stuff here, and embellish my profile to make myself sound like I'm the biggest catch of the century....but honesty is the best policy. I am an easy good person that is most comfortable sitting in the background while others take the credit and the limelight. You could ask anyone that knows me and they would say that I am not the kind of person that blow's his own horn.
I really don't know what all this has to do with POF, but it is who I am. I tend to be shy and unassuming at first meeting anyone, especially a woman that I find attractive, or just anyone I am not aquainted with. I do warm up quickly after knowing a person for a while, as most people would. I find I get a better sense of someone after a few times on the chatlines, and am eager for the first meeting to see if there is any spark to grow on.
I have to admit that being on POF is a little intimitating as there are so many well meaning people that seem to be in the same boat as I am, and I find that some offer so much more than I do. But after being here for a time, I feel that I bring something to the table also. I am honest, conciderate, patient, loyal, curtious, outgoing, friendly and would do anything for anyone that I can. Some would classify me as a sucker, but if feel that all these traits make me a good human being. There is one fault I may have, and that is I sometimes like getting on the soapbox.
On the lighter side, I do have a good sense of humor and like a good joke. My humor tends to get on the silly, or sarcastic side. Humor is humor, it all depends on the delivery and that it is not meant to harm or demean. Off color joke I find are offensive and sometime in poor taste.
My taste in music ranges from classical(usually when I have to concentrate on something), to great old 60's, to acid rock 70's, to the sounds of the 80's. I do listen to Fresh FM from time to time, but do draw the line at rap(this is not music but swearing to beat).
To end, I am here to seek out someone that shares a common backround, that came from the same era and knows all the same things I grew up with. I am trying to find that certain someone that I can have common conversations with about our past and the world around us. I am seeking out that special someone that will accept me for who I am, with all the flaws and warts that come with life. I am looking for someone who will compliment me in life. I would love to find a soul mate, but that is a rare thing to find. It's not impossible and for those that have such a love hold on that, but it sure would be nice to find a friend, a companion, a lover and someone that would share life with someone that would come along for rest of the other half of the century.
