When you look to the stars, what do you see?
Is it your future, your past, or what you want to be?

It makes me wonder what else could be.

The stars hold for me a world of unknown,
A world of hope and wonder and a sense of size.
Gazing into the darkness that looms above,
When I look to the stars I know it’s not just my eyes.

Many dream of what’s up there,
How far we’ll travel to reach our stare.
But the stars aren’t just about what’s beyond us,
We use them to look for love and trust.

When I find my star on earth,
I’ll look to her eyes and see my re-birth.
For in them I’ll see the stars and the wonder,
Visions of hope and love will pull me under.
My heart will travel to worlds I’ve only dreamt,
Soaring for her as though it were meant.

Although I’ll never truly see the stars above,
I’ll see all the stars in the universe… when I’m in love.

My 2 biggest hobbies right now are mountain biking and snowboarding. If you're into either or both and are looking for someone to ride with, let me know. I do one or the other nearly every weekend. (or both now that the local mountains are snowing up) If you don't know how to snowboard but want to learn, I'm sure I can teach you.

I work in Santa Monica but live in Gardena. Since most of my week is spent at work, I'm listing my location as Santa Monica. SM and the surrounding areas aren't that far a drive for me. I'd like to meet someone within 10 miles of either city, just so we could see each other during the week, but I'm not limiting my search to that distance.

I couldn't dance (well) to save my life, so any woman I date has to be ok going out dancing with her girls, without me. Just like if she doesn't mountain bike, I'll be ok going with my buddies without her. Trust makes these scenarios work. I'm not into clubbing any more, lounges are ok, bars are ok, but only in great moderation.

I make plans, I don't wait to see if "something better" comes along or what other options there are. I'm greatly annoyed by indecisive people. I'm pretty punctual, I'd rather be early or on time than late. I prefer to be helpful when in a team setting, but can lead if I need to. I like all kinds of animals, but dogs make the best pets/animal companions. I sometimes write poems, but they're usually mood driven, I can't just push one out at any time.

I have a lot of opinions on various things, some weird, some funny, some that make people re-think their views, some that people whole heartedly disagree with. There aren't a lot of topics that are 'taboo' with me. I can speak very 'text book'-ish about practically any topic without getting embarrassed (too much anyway). I like to read, but only about things that interest me, things I already like, or things I don't understand or have a negative view of but want to be educated on.

I'm an adult always, can often (am often) be immature/silly/goofy, but never childish. If you think immature and childish are the same thing, they aren't. Immaturity is being goofy/silly etc. Being childish is whining when things don't go your way or about something you don't like, which often leads to arguements.

I don't have a lot of goals in life any more. The reasons being: I have a career in an industry I like, I have a home of my own (mortgage and all), I own my vehicles, and I have a savings account that isn't empty.
The only goals I really have are owning a cabin in the mountains, and finding a good, fun, silly, amazing woman to love like I've never loved before. ...so far it seems like the cabin goal is far easier to reach.

As for what I'm looking for in a woman, it's hard to say really. Chemistry doesn't always work out the way we think it should, so I'm open to meeting all types of personalities and styles. Body types, we all have our preferences. I'd be lying if I said it didn't matter to me. I prefer slender body types. I'm a "leg man", so long legs get me (height isn't always a factor, you could be 5' tall with 60% of that height being your legs). You don't HAVE to have long legs, I'm just saying I like them. I'm also a sucker for a pony tail. Not for any dirty reasons you may think... a womans neck is very alluring, so a simple thing like a pony tail is amazing. It's cute, yet sexy. Easy, yet gorgeous.

I don't play 'dating games'. If we aren't in a full relationship yet and you tell me you're going to call me, call me. If you don't because you want to see if I'll call you, game over.

Anything else you want to know about me, just ask. A person is usually a lot more than what they type about themselves.

Mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, ice cream, milkshakes, brunch, dinner. I'm open to most things but I'm not a coffee drinker so if that's your thing, I'll just get hot chocolate or water.
